About the system

Skyglyph is a collaborative web platform that uses remote sensing and machine learning for precise crop inspection and risk assessment. The platform analyses images and other data from drones, satellites, and even smartphones to detect crop status and risks for crop protection, crop insurance, food processing, and agricultural companies.

Functionals architecture

The system includes a number of functional modules, including:

- Administration module is responsible for the management of workspaces, users, and their roles and security.

- Satellite Analytics Module (SAM) is built for the collection, processing, and analysis of geodata from satellites

- Fleet Management Module (FMM) is built for regulation compliance, mission planning, and autonomous control of drone operations for the companies, that want securely and flexibly operate their fleet of drones

- Analytics Module (AM) is responsible for quick, smooth, and comprehensive data processing from drones, satellites, smartphones, and others IoT. As result, the system generates a number of analytical reports

Entities

There are only 4 basic entities in the system:

- AssetsContainer of Infrastructure object information (for example, agriculture field)

- Mission. The task for inspection. Contains information about mission date, pilot, survey data

- Report. Results of processing data include orthophoto maps, segmentation maps, damage detection, etc.

- Handbook. Contains referral data like type of crops, vegetation stages, products, etc.

Organization

The system supports the logical isolation of users through the mechanism of Workspaces. Each organization receives a workspace in the system, in which its users work and all data is hosted.

To gain access to the workspace, the workspace administrator receives an invitation to enter the system and then invites other users in the same way.

Workflow

To be able to analyze data, users have to follow the next steps:

1) create Asset

2) create Mission as a task for assets surveying

3) execute mission by drones, satellites, or even smartphones

4) upload data to the Skyglyph cloud

5) run Report generation
